Four people were injured this afternoon when a truck rear-ended a taxi at the corners of Jan Smuts and Hillcrest in Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 14h21 and found the truck parked in the slow lane of the road while the taxi had mounted the curb and sat on the sidewalk.
Most of the occupants from the taxi had already climbed out of the vehicle and were now walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the occupants and found that four people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to nearby hospitals including Edenvale Hospital.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
