Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to a motor vehicle accident involving three vehicles on the R102/Verulam – KZN at the Main BP intersection.
The driver of a white Ford Ranger was travelling northbound on the R102 when he approached the intersection. He stated that the traffic signal was green in his favour to turn right into Jabu Ngcobo Road.
As he executed the turn, a white Toyota Hilux bakkie travelling southbound on the R102, allegedly failed to stop at the traffic signal and collided with the right side of the Ford Ranger.
The impact caused the Ranger to swing around before rear-ending a stationary white Kia truck parked at the intersection.
The version of the white Ford Ranger driver could not be immediately verified
