On Friday morning Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision on the N3 North near the Peacevale off ramp in Kwa Zulu Natal. Reports from the scene indicate that a truck carrying cars overturned scattering its load of vehicles across the highway; one of the vehicles flew through the air and landed on another vehicle that was traveling towards Pietermaritzburg.
Exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events will form part of the police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway littered with accident debris and the twisted frames of the vehicles. One man sustained serious injuries, after medics treated him at the scene they transported him to a nearby hospital for further care.
