Middelburg Flying Squad members nabbed three suspects, aged between 20 and 33 with suspected stolen Soya Beans near Witbank, in the evening of Sunday, 16 June 2024 at approximately 19:45.
Members of the Middelburg Flying Squad Unit were conducting patrols along the N4 Road near the Toll Gate when they spotted a white Isuzu bakkie that appeared heavily loaded and covered with a black tarpaulin.
The vehicle was stopped, and a search was conducted by the SAPS members. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle was loaded with 26 x 50 kilograms bags of Soya beans, which were suspected to be stolen.
The three suspects were arrested at the scene and charged with possession of suspected stolen property.
The three suspects are expected to appear at the Emalahleni Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 18 June 2024 to face the charges against them.
