Following a lookout for a vehicle linked to an alleged kidnapping in Germiston, the vehicle was added to Vumacam’s Proof system. An alert from the Vumacam SafeCity LPR network later identified the vehicle travelling in the Roodepoort area.
The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department – JMPD TRU units supported by Help24 Secure, responded and intercepted the vehicle in Florida North. The suspected driver and vehicle were handed over to the investigating officer for further investigation.
The victim was found safe following the arrest.
