Vehicles recovered in the Kwa-Thema and Daveyton areas

Between Thursday 03 and Friday 04 April 2025, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Community Liaison (CLU) Unit Officers, in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies, recovered the abandoned white Mecedes-Benz and white Isuzu NPR400 Truck in the Kwa-Thema and Daveyton areas.

Following on intel received from a well-known tracking company about a hijacked Mecedes-Benz. Officers acted and proceeded to the location where coordinates led them, upon arrival at Duduza Rank, Officers found the vehicle matching the description abandoned parked on the side with no occupants.

Meanwhile in the Mayfield area, Officers received information about an Isuzu truck that was hijacked at Delmas N12, Officers immediately initiated a lookout for the missing truck with the assistance of the tracking device, which updated the vehicle to be moving in the Mayfield area Daveyton. Offices proceeded to the identified location on Imvubu Street where they found the said vehicle with the stock abandoned with no occupants.
