At 20h26 on Friday night Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision on the N3 west bound just before the Shongweni off ramp. Reports from the scene indicate that one truck rear-ended another heavy goods vehicle. Exact detail however will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that the left hand side passenger sustained serious injuries, the driver and another passenger escaped with minor injuries.
Medics stabilised the injured at the scene before they transported them to hospital for the care that they required.
