This afternoon, seven people were injured when a truck, taxi and bakkie collided on Voortrekker Road in Vereeniging.
ER24 and other services arrived to find the three vehicles parked in one lane. The taxi driver was lying trapped in his vehicle while several other patients were walking around.
Rescue Services had to use the jaws-of-life equipment to free the man from the taxi. Once released, medics assessed the patients and found that seven adults had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
The patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
