An operation was conducted yesterday, 29 October 2025, at Refilwe, in the Rayton area, in which TMPD played a crucial role assisting the removal of illegally connected electrical cables.
The operation was highly successful, resulting in the recovery and removal of a substantial quantity of stolen cables. The estimated value of the confiscated cables is approximately 1.2 million rands.
Illegal connections impede services to our paying customers. The TMPD will not tolerate this lawlessness and will ensure the removal of every illegal connection, making sure that the perpetrators are behind bars.
