Do not waste any time submitting your entry before it is too late. The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, says as the entries rapidly climb, it was necessary to provide entrants with enough time to submit quality entries. “With another enthusiastic response to the Awards, we gladly extended the deadline to accommodate those yet to complete their entries.
“The focus of the Awards is to showcase the fleet safety strategy of organisations setting an example in road safety. Consequently, if there is need for more time to enter, we do not want to hamper that. The more individuals and organisations that are proud of their achievement in reducing crash and fatality rates, the better it is for the future of road safety for South Africa as a whole.”
In addition to double the number of entries, the rewards for being recognised as a leader in road safety have doubled as well. “The prizes increased from R100 000 last year to R200 000 in prizes this year.
“This increase is primarily seen in the cash prizes awarded to overall winners. Additionally, a cash prize will be added to the winner of the Best Organisation. This will be donated to a charitable organisation, within the industry, of the winner’s choice. These cash prizes have a significant impact on the lives of recipients and simultaneously serve as motivation to emulate the example set.”
Another addition to this year’s Awards acknowledges bus organisations in association with the South African Bus Operators Association (SABOA). “These recognise leaders of road safety promotion in the bus industry and all effort will be made to accept as many entries as possible,” says Herbert.
There are three Awards within this category:
– SABOA Best Fleet Manager for an outstanding commitment to road safety.
– SABOA Best Operator competing for Road Warrior awarded to an operator who is a role model in the industry.
– SABOA Best Organisation for companies that promote and implement exceptional road safety practices.
With only ten days until the opportunity to enter the Fleet Safety Awards closes, start your entry now. “We urge you to begin soon to give yourself as much time as possible to showcase your dedication to road safety. Following feedback from last year’s Awards, the time required to complete an entry is also halved.
“Should you still have difficulty completing it all at once, the new draft-saving option allows one to complete two to three questions per day and consequently, complete your full entry in less than ten days.”
MasterDrive is proud to see the growth of the competition over the last three years. “Be part of one of the fastest growing, one-of-a-kind competitions in Africa. In the process, enter the running to win substantial cash prizes for your commitment to road safety,” says Herbert.
