Just after 12:00 the Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit received a call for a pedestrian who was seriously injured after being struck by a truck on Solomon Mahlangu drive close to Atterbury road in the Faerie Glen area of Pretoria east. On arrival we found that the patients injuries were fatal and they were declared as deceased on arrival.
The scene was handed over to SAPS to investigate the cause of the accident.
We send our deepest condolences to the loved ones of the deceased.
