The fast lane of the N2 towards George, on the Maalgate Bridge, is currently closed to traffic following an accident at approximately 06:40 this morning.
According to reports, the driver of a pickup truck carrying four passengers lost control of the vehicle after a tyre on the trailer it was towing burst.
No one was injured.
