🚨 Incident Report: Truck vs Taxi Collision
📅 Date: 2 April 2025
📍 Location: Hendrik Potgieter Rd & Handicap Rd, Ruimsig, Roodepoort
Earlier today, ECSA crews responded to a serious collision involving a light motor vehicle and a heavy motor vehicle.
Upon arrival, our team immediately secured the scene, ensuring all vehicles were safe and that no patients were entrapped. Help24 EMS medics began triaging and treating the injured.
Recognizing the severity of the incident, ECSA requested additional ambulances and Advanced Life Support paramedics to assist with patient care. We worked closely with Gauteng EMS Rescue and other emergency services to ensure every patient received the necessary treatment and was transported to the most appropriate medical facility.
Tragically, one patient succumbed to their injuries. Our heartfelt condolences go out to their family and friends.
All other patients, with injuries ranging from minor to serious, were stabilized and transported to nearby hospitals.
The scene was officially handed over to JMPD for further investigation.
