This morning EMER-G-MED’s RV8 and A07 responded to a serious collision on the N1 South before Lynwood Road, in Pretoria
Paramedics arrived at the scene to find that a truck had collided with a car, leaving the car wedged between the truck and the centre barrier.
The two occupants of the car managed to free themselves from the wreckage, one sustained serious injuries that required Advanced Life Support intervention.
The patients were assessed and treated at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
The exact events leading up to the crash are unclear, and will be investigated by local traffic authorities.
