Successes || 🇿🇦Joint Operations Tactical Headquarters Limpopo.

The never-dying spirit of our soldiers deployed in Limpopo Province under the auspices of Operation CORONA is continuing to pay remarkable dividends despite serious logistical challenges that our Generals are working around the clock to resolve. Perhaps it is due to the resilience offered to our deploying forces just before they move into the theater by the South African Military Health Services, or perhaps it is as a result of the type of training they receive during the Combat Readiness Training, or it is the combination of the two. Whichever it is, it is working.

After the cigarettes smugglers played the ‘hide and seek’ with our heroes and heroines from the City of Roses (as Bloemfontein is called), members of 1 South African Tank Regiment did not despair with their thankless job of safeguarding the territorial Sovereignty and Intergrity of South Africa. Whilst busy with WayLay operations on the Eastern side of Beitbridge Point of Entry, our soldiers confiscated illicit cigarettes from suspected cigarette smugglers valued at R1, 371, 868.56. Upon noticing our soldiers, the suspects dropped the cigarettes and fled back to Zimbabwe.

Needless to say, the cigarettes were handed over to Customs at Beitbridge Point of Entry.

The Officer Commanding Joint Tactical Headquarters Limpopo, Colonel Dikgabane Herold Tladi, commended the members for a job well done.
