A five-year-old boy has died and four people have been injured after a bakkie collided with a truck and a bus on the N12 about twenty kilometres from Hopetown , Northern Cape.
Reports from the scene indicate that the deceased boy’s mother and father are both in a critical condition while the uncle and another child sustained moderate injuries.
When Netcare911 paramedics arrived on scene, we found that the boy had already died due to the extensive injuries he sustained.
The boy was declared dead on scene by paramedics.
Netcare911 paramedics worked alongside another emergency service on scene to stabilise the injured.
All injured were transported to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.
No one from the truck or bus was injured.
