The SAPS Women In Policing in conjunction with other law enforcement officers from department of Home Affairs, Mpumalanga and Nkomazi Traffic, Correctional Services, #CPF and a Car Track Company embarked on Operation Basadi earlier today.
The operation began with a parade along the N4 Road near Malalane, the road which is heading to-and-from Mozambique. The operation focused on stolen vehicles, undocumented persons as well as stolen items hence a roadblock was set up along this route.
Officials from Correctional Services conducted activities such as visitation at parolees to check whether they are adhering to their parole conditions.
Officials from the Department of Home Affairs were also on the ground assisting in the operation. Several undocumented persons were apprehended for being in the country without valid documentation.
The operation also focused on wanted suspects, including those that committed crimes against women and children.
