Members of the Gauteng Traffic Police and the Gauteng Traffic Wardens Essential Infrastructure Task Team (Central) conducted operations which resulted in the recovery of three (3) vehicles, including two motor vehicle shells and one hijacked delivery truck. The driver of the hijacked vehicle was safely rescued.
– Information was received regarding a hijacking in progress along the Golden Highway. Members responded and upon arrival found the driver locked inside the rear of the truck. The driver was rescued, and the delivery truck was recovered with its cargo (stock) and money safe still intact.
– A VW reported as stolen was found stripped in Kliptown ( shell and engine were recovered)
– A stolen VW Polo was also recovered in Dobsonville (stripped).
