Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the L782 in the Phayipini area of Pietermaritzburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a heavy motor vehicle lost control resulting in the vehicle crashing into a house.
Sadly two adult females from the house had sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased on the scene, another two adult male patients from the truck sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospital for further treatment.
Circumstances leading up to the collision are unknown however the SAPS were on scene and will be investigating.
