Wet weather, poor visibility and a crash on Van Reenen Pass are contributing to congestion and delays on the N3 Toll Route between Cedara in KwaZulu-Natal and Heidelberg in Gauteng this afternoon.
Two trucks are involved in the crash on Van Reenen Pass. Both northbound lanes (towards Johannesburg) are obstructed but Stop and Go traffic measures are being implemented at the scene to help manage the flow of traffic. Road users may experience additional delays while the recovery and cleanup operations are underway.
N3 Toll Concession (N3TC) appeals to road users to reduce speed and approach the area with caution. “Keep headlights switched on and increase your following distances,” asks N3TC’s operations manager, Thania Dhoogra.
