Two suspects, Johny Conrad Ryke (52) and Jan Andrian Dupreez (64), appeared at the Carolina Regional Court on Wednesday 26 June 2024, after being arrested during Operation Vala Umgodi at Mooifontein near Carolina on Tuesday, 25 June 2024.
The two were nabbed for mining related offences and they were charged for Contravention of the National Environmental Management Act.
During their court appearance, the two were each granted bail of R5000.
The two suspects are expected to reappear in court on 05 August 2024.
