Two people were left injured this morning following a truck fire at the High and Church Road intersection in Worcester, Western Cape.
ER24 personnel, along with other services, arrived on the scene shortly after 06h00 to find the Brede Fire Services already in attendance.
A large tanker truck, carrying an unknown chemical, was found in the intersection well alight.
Brede Fire Services battled the blaze while paramedics tended to two patients. Assessments showed that both patients had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated and thereafter transported to Mediclinic Worcester for further treatment.
Brede Fire Services are currently on scene tending to several building that were damaged in this incident.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
