Driver of a foreign truck suffered a medical episode while driving on the B2 route approximately 10 kms outside Usakos coming from Karibib. The truck left the road and struck a culvert on the side of the road.
Fellow truckers raised the alarm, and a medical team (LifeLink Emergency Rescue Services) was dispatched from Karibib. The driver was stabilized at the scene and transported to hospital for further management.
A runaway truck overturned at the B2 route junction in Usakos town, resulting in the driver sustaining less serious injuries. Apparently, the brakes failed on the truck on the downhill coming from the coastal side.
