Late on Tuesday night Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision on the R21 in the Olifantsfontein area.

On arrival on scene a light motor vehicle was found to have crashed into the back of a truck. An adult make and female aged in their twenties, suffered critical injuries and advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilize them before they were cut free from the wreckage using the Jaws-of-life.

Two minors aged eight and four who were seated in the back, suffered minor injuries only and were treated and stabilized on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
