This abnormal vehicle was impounded at PTCC for overloading on the Gross Combination Mass. On the exemption permit, the permissible gross combination mass is 64 840 kg but the actual mass is 85 280 kg which is 20 440 kg overloaded on the exemption. The vehicle comes all the way from KZN.
The fine and administrative fee for a new permit will only be determined on Monday. The combination will remain at the Station until the load is rectified or a new permit is issued.
