Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) are currently at 09:19 (Wednesday) standing off at the scene of a collision involving four vehicles on the southbound lane of the R102 between Ottawa & Verulam – KZN.
Part of the road is blocked after a truck lost its load of bricks in a secondary collision. The driver of the truck informed Reaction Officers that a white Toyota Etios and a grey Nissan Qashqai were involved in the initial crash. A white Toyota Yaris that was passing the scene avoided a bakkie traveling at high speed. The vehicle veered into the right lane when the truck collided with it. The truck thereafter lost its load of bricks. The occupants of all four vehicles were not injured.
Two light motor vehicles were extensively damaged.
