A man, believed to be in his 40s, was left injured this morning after the truck he was driving jack-knifed on the Baden Powell Road near the Vlaeberg Road in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics, along with local authorities, arrived on the scene at 08h00 and found the truck in the middle of the busy road. Traffic had already begun to back up due to the incident.

On inspection, paramedics found the driver seated next to his truck.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained only moderate injuries.

The man was treated for his injuries and was thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

It is believed that a light motor vehicle had also been involved in this incident, but was not found on the scene.

Local authorities were on the scene to close off the one lane, as well as for further investigations.
