Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a heavy motor vehicle collision on Jacob’s Road in Clairwood, south of Durban.
On arrival on the scene, a truck was found to have careened off the roadway, knocking over a lamp pole, before smashing into a boundary wall of business premises.
The driver of the vehicle was found to have suffered moderate injuries and was treated and stabilised before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
The cause of the collision is unknown and will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation.
