Truck crash on the N1 North after 14th Avenue

At 16:29 ECSA received a call for a Heavy Motor Vehicle Accident on the N1 North after 14th Avenue.

Upon arrival it was discovered that a large crane truck had lost control and hit the centre concrete divider, resulting in it rolling over.

A large oil and diesel spill was discovered and quickly contained.

Fortunately, there were only minor injuries and the patient was transported to the hospital for further care.

After a long 7 hours on scene, it was cleared and the highway was opened.

Spill tech also arrived on the scene to assist with the containment and cleanup of the oil and diesel spill.
