Midlands EMS Howick crews were dispatched to the N3 just bellow Nottingham Road in KZN for a truck collision.
On arrival, it was found that the driver had been pulled out of the truck by people before paramedics’ arrival.
The driver was found to be in a critical condition requiring urgent advanced life support treatment.
Once stabilized, the patient was transported to a Level 1 trauma hospital for further care.
Authorities were in attendance.
