A tipper truck driver with a full load had to think quickly while appraoching the Shelly Beach Intersection when his brakes failed.
He managed to avoid the string of cars and went over the grass, through a ditch and came to a standstill on Marine Drive.
Fortunately his injuires were not severe and he was treated on scene before being transported to an appropriate medical facility for further treatment.
