Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) are currently standing off the corner of Old Main Road & George Sewpersad Street in Verulam – KZN after smoke from a truck obscured the visibility of other road users.
A Reaction Officer on patrol discovered smoke billowing out of the Isuzu truck that was stuck on a high rev. The driver was attempting to switch off the vehicle without success.
The smoke affected the visibility of other road users and resulted in traffic delays.
The engine on the vehicle eventually seized and the smoke subsided.
