Two Articulate trucks and one Ridged truck, caught on fire after welding works went wrong at a fuel truck company in Ekurhuleni.

Apparently sparks were blown out of control to nearby trucks.

The City of Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) firefighters responded swiftly and prevented a very catastrophic event from happening as one of the trucks that caught alight carried over 50,000 litres of
petrol, however the flames were contained just in time.

The second articulate truck trailer was empty, though very dangerous in terms of vapor explosion.

The company yard had several trucks and fuel tanks, putting the surrounding companies at a very high risk.

The incident is still under investigation by fire safety officials.

No casualties were recorded on scene.
