Police in Ekurhuleni District arrested three suspects in Germiston on Thursday, 30 March 2023 following a truck hijacking incident that took place the previous day in Katlehong.
Intelligence-driven information was operationalised which led a team comprising of members from the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) to an address in Germiston.
Upon their arrival at the said address, the team found three suspects with a truck that was positively linked to a truck hijacking case which was report to SAPS Katlehong. A search led the team to recover over 60 mattresses loaded inside the truck.
