The Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) Northern Region Task Team Officers and various security services comprising of Lapua special operations , ZSS security , Seek security , proshield security, Nightguard security, monitor net, FADT and vision tactical, seized a quantity of schedule 6 medication suspected to be illegally sold and distributed.
Officers received information of business robberies that have been reported since last year November, of truck hijackings with an attempted murder case. Following up on the information received of the syndicate on distributing scheduled medication. The lead led to a house on Du Plessis road, in the Norkem Park Area, where they discovered Ketamine, Pethidine and Morphine categorised under narcotic analgesics and undisclosed amounts of cash.
Three (3) male suspects between the ages of thirty-seven (37) and fifty-one (51) were intercepted at the house, as they were about to offload Lithium batteries in a silver Mazda BT 50 and a white Toyota Hilux.
