Fraudsters stopped in their tracks! Three suspected credit card fraudsters have been caught while blowing thousands on expensive liquor in a joint operation between KZN police and Fidelity’s Specialised Intervention Unit.
The trio is linked to a scheme where control is gained over an individual’s account through an illegal card swap. In the past two months alone, it’s estimated that over a million rand has been siphoned from multiple accounts.
They were arrested at Makro Springfield which happens to be one of our customer’s as well and they are very pleased with our involvement in catching these baddies.
The operation also included Sydenham SAPS Trio Crimes and SAPS CI eThekwini Outer North. Great work to all teams involved in this including our Fidelity SIU members.
