Three people tragically lost their lives in two separate vehicle crashes on the R531 road near Hoedspruit in Mopani District this morning, 29 April 2025.
The first accident occurred at 06h30 next to Kampersrus village, where a Hyundai light delivery vehicle overturned after the driver lost control. Sadly, one person died, and 23 others sustained injuries.
In the second accident, which happened at 08h00 next to Marepe Lodge, a heavy motor vehicle collided with a tractor while overtaking. Two people lost their lives, and 40 others were injured.
Both vehicles were carrying workers.
Investigations are currently underway to determine the causes of these devastating accidents.
