The TMPD Taxi Unit conducted a successful operation in Centurion and the CBD on Monday and earlier today, 06 January 2026, resulting in the impoundment of 15 minibuses and a bus for non-compliance with the National Land Transport Act (NLTA).
In a separate operation, the TMPD Overload Control Unit (OCU) in Centurion and Akasia inspected 115 trucks for load compliance. Several trucks failed the test and were charged for non-compliance with load regulations.
These operations are part of the ongoing efforts to maintain order and safety in the City of Tshwane and serve as a reminder to all transport operators to adhere to road traffic regulations.
