The SAPS in Gauteng Province conducted high-density Operation Shanela in Benoni, Ekurhuleni District, led by Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Mthombeni.
With a focus on restoring law and order, ensuring public safety, and combating criminal activity, a roadblock was set up at Paul Kruger Highway, Benoni, resulting in the arrest of suspects for various crimes.
These crimes include: 29 undocumented persons, two suspects for possession of drugs and five illegal liquor outlets were closed for non-compliance.
