While conducting routine patrols, the Gauteng Traffic Police spotted a minibus taxi that was travelling along the N4/N2 East along the Weighbridge towards Mpumalanga, around 21h25 on Wednesday, 05 August 2025.
Officials then directed the vehicle to the weighbridge, where it was found to be overloaded with 3.5 tons. The driver was subsequently issued with an Aarto fine.
Law enforcement officials will not tolerate lawlessness as these incidents increase the risk of accidents and compromise safety on the road.
