Approximately eleven suspects attempting to steal a truck secured a vicious dog prior to entering a property on Neptune Drive in Mount Vernon – KZN during the early hours of this morning.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the property at approximately 03:31. On arrival, Reaction Officers met with the owner of an eight ton Tata truck who explained that that she noticed multiple males in her yard after she heard their truck start.
The suspects fled in two vehicles and a tow truck after the female called out for assistance.
The homeowner located their dog locked in a cage in the yard. She informed RUSA Members that the dog is protective of the property and cannot be handled by anyone.
Reaction Officers inspected the truck and found no damages or forced entry.
