*Summary of Operation*
On 26 March 2026, a successful intelligence-driven operation was conducted in the Hercules policing area. This operation was initiated by South African Police Service (Hercules) following extensive intelligence gathered over several weeks by Proshield’s Investigation Units.
The intelligence was effectively shared and coordinated with the Hercules VISPOL and Detective Units, under the leadership of a Senior Detective from Hercules SAPS.
Swift action based on this intelligence led to the initial arrest of two suspects and the seizure of a white Hyundai H100 vehicle, believed to have been used in multiple cable theft incidents. The suspects are linked to several case numbers and were processed accordingly.
*Follow-Up Operations*
Following the initial arrests, a strategic operational plan was implemented, resulting in:
* Two additional suspects being detained at their residences, which had previously been placed under surveillance
* Continued intelligence exploitation and coordinated response actions
A fifth suspect was later successfully located and apprehended by Proshield Reaction Units, after which the suspect was handed over and formally arrested by South African Police Service.
