A multi-provincial operation by the South African Police Service (SAPS) has dealt a significant blow to an organised criminal network following the arrest of five suspects and the recovery of two stolen trailers and part of a high-value copper consignment taken during a violent armed robbery at a Truck Stop, in Naboomspruit policing area, within the Waterberg District.
The arrested suspects are expected to appear before the local Magistrate’s Court soon on charges including hijacking, armed robbery, and kidnapping.
