An intelligence-driven operation conducted by a multi-disciplinary law enforcement team has resulted in the recovery of a stolen TLB and the arrest of a 20-year-old suspect at a farm in the Botlokwa policing area on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.

The operation was executed by members of the Provincial Tracking Team, Provincial Investigation Unit, and Makhado Local Criminal Record Centre (LCRC), working in collaboration with external law enforcement partners, Tracker Connect and Tshimollo Security and Investigations.

Police acted on intelligence indicating that a TLB reported stolen during the past weekend within the Matlala policing precinct was being concealed at a farm in the area along the N1 next to Bylsteel, within the Botlokwa policing area.

The operational team immediately followed up on the information and proceeded to the identified location. Upon arrival, members located the stolen Bell TLB and found it in the possession of a 20-year-old male.

The suspect was arrested for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle. A criminal case has been registered at Botlokwa SAPS, and the suspect is expected to appear before the Morebeng Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 26 June 2026.

Further investigations are continuing, and police are actively pursuing additional suspects believed to be linked to the theft. More arrests are expected as the investigation unfolds.

The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, commended the members and external stakeholders involved in the operation for their swift response, effective collaboration, and commitment to combating vehicle and machinery-related crimes in the province.

Police investigations remain ongoing.
