Speedy response by Kabokweni police led to the recovery of a stolen truck and the arrest of two suspects aged 23 and 28 at Nkohlakalo next to Kabokweni this afternoon, 26 April 2023 at about 13:15.
Members received information about the vehicle reported stolen in Masoyi and immediately launched a lookout.
Within a short space of time, the members spotted the vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was thoroughly checked and was positively identified as stolen.
The two suspects were arrested for possession of a suspected stolen vehicle.
Police cannot rule out the possibility that a charge of theft of motor vehicles might be added pending investigation.
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela commended members for their speedy reaction and hope this might be a breakthrough to the vehicle theft syndicate.
