The Premier of the Free State, Ms Maqueen Letsoha Mathae, and the MEC of Community Safety, Roads and Transport, Mr Jabu Mbalula, joined by the Provincial Commissioner of the Free State, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane, the Deputy National Commissioner responsible for Crime Detection, Lieutenant General Shadrack Sibiya, the District Commissioner and the Local Mayor, embarked on a series of community outreach initiatives on 28 December 2024.

Their first stop was at a roadblock on the N3 near Harrismith, where they engaged with law enforcement officials and commuters, emphasizing the importance of #RoadSafety during the festive season.

They then visited the Maluti Crescent Mall in Phuthaditjhaba, where they met and greeted shoppers, spreading festive cheer and promoting a sense of community. The Premier and MEC Mbalula took the opportunity to listen to the concerns of local residents, demonstrating their commitment to grassroots engagement. #SaferFestiveSeason
