The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Northern Region Task Team Officers, recovered a reported hijacked white Isuzu truck and its cargo valued at approximately R1.2 million, in Isando, Kempton Park.
While conducting crime prevention duties, officers received information from a tracking company regarding a reported hijacked vehicle, which had been taken earlier in the Olifantsfontein area.
Utilizing the truck’s GPS coordinates, Officers traced it to Isando, where it was found idling on the roadside, still loaded.
No suspects were found and the truck was towed to the Van Ryn Deep SAPS Pound in Benoni for further investigation and safekeeping.
The EMPD remains committed to combating vehicle-related crimes and ensuring public safety across the City of Ekurhuleni.
