KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the R34 near Ulundi for reports of a truck collision.
When emergency services arrived, they found that a truck had lost control and overturned, after which the truck caught on fire.
Thankfully, Mfezi security was able to assist one occupant from the truck before the fire got out of control.
Paramedics treated a seriously injured patient before transporting the patient to the hospital for further care.
