One person was killed and at least 22 other people were injured after a bus overturned on the P100 in Ndwedwe – KZN today (Saturday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene and located a MAN bus lying on its side. An elderly female was fatally injured in the accident. Several other passengers suffered minor to critical injuries. They were stabilised by Paramedics from Provincial & Private Ambulance Services before being expedited to medical facilities. It was alleged that the driver attempted to stop the bus while travelling uphill.
The vehicle rolled back down the hill and overturned after the brakes allegedly failed.
