IPSS Medical Rescue paramedics were on the scene of a collision where a truck rear-ended another truck on the N2 near Umhlanga.
On arrival of paramedics, it was established that the driver of the one truck was severely entrapped. The man was stabilised by IPSS Medical Rescue paramedics before being extricated by Durban Metro Fire Department.
The man sustained critical injuries and will be transported to the hospital under the care of an IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support paramedic.
The driver of the truck that was rear-ended was fortunate to escape with no injuries.
